Maintenance Contract Manager
NOTE: The following position is for a proposed new/future business within Transdev. Only candidates meeting the work experience requirements will be considered.
The Maintenance Contract Manager will oversee the maintenance operations for our rail services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing maintenance contracts, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and optimizing the performance and reliability of our rail fleet. This position is based in Long Beach, CA.

- Competitive compensation package of minimum $160,000 – maximum $175,000
Benefits include:

Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Management: Oversee and manage maintenance contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are met.
- Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure the reliability and safety of the rail fleet.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and quality maintenance services.
- Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Budget Management: Manage maintenance budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze the performance of the rail fleet, identifying areas for improvement.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance activities, performance metrics, and contract compliance.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of maintenance professionals, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in the rail industry.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, contract management, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in maintenance management or rail operations are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
- Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
