Position Summary
The Procurement Specialist will play a key role in strategically sourcing products and services to support our North American business units. This position focuses on core procurement operations—including vendor management, communications, sourcing, purchasing, and training—while also contributing to broader procurement initiatives that strengthen and optimize the corporate procurement department.

- Competitive compensation package of minimum $76,000 – maximum $95,000
Benefits include:
- Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
- Sick days: 5 days
- Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating

Responsibilities
Supplier & Vendor Management
- Manage existing and new suppliers to support company-wide category goals.
- Support vendor management initiatives to achieve targeted cost savings through cost reductions, cost avoidance, and rebate programs.
- Negotiate contract terms and agreements with new and existing suppliers.
- Promote and support Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program initiatives across the organization.
Sourcing & Procurement Operations
- Source appropriate products and services to meet the needs of customers, business units, and internal departments.
- Ensure procurement processes, policies, and best practices are understood and followed across all business locations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with general managers, location personnel, and corporate department leaders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Alignment
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and category applications.
- Provide guidance and support on procurement strategy, supplier performance, and process improvements.
Data, Reporting & Strategy
- Track, analyze, and report key procurement metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
- Participate in procurement-related projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
Education, Licensing & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or related field preferred.
- Professional certifications (CPM, CPSM, CPIM, CIPS, or similar) are a plus.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Experience in the transportation industry or vehicle parts a plus.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts and achieve favorable terms.
- Supplier management experience required.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and mediate conflicts.
- Exceptional organizational skills; detail-oriented and analytical.
- Creative problem-solver with the ability to think outside traditional approaches.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interface effectively at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to travel up to 10% outside the immediate area.
