Key Responsibilities:
- On-Site Requirement: This position requires full-time presence at the designated location—remote or hybrid work options are not available. 50% travel is required for the position.
- Operational Oversight: Manage and oversee the planning, operations, and programs for accessible services. This includes paratransit services for seniors and individuals with disabilities, Mobility on Demand (MOD), and specialized projects.
- Representation: Act as a representative of Transdev in regional accessibility committee meetings.
- Team Management: Evaluate and manage the performance of Eligibility Center Managers.
- Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and manage the departmental budget.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Service Standards: Ensure paratransit services and MOD meet high standards for safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Performance Tracking: Analyze and track performance data across all locations.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports to city councils, boards, and the public as necessary.
- Outreach Collaboration: Work with staff to engage in outreach events at senior centers and adult care facilities.
- Leadership: Provide management and leadership for both direct and indirect reports, including Assessment team members and support staff.
- Client Liaison: Establish effective working relationships with clients, ensuring their expectations are met and inquiries are addressed promptly.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree in social services, specialized education, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent relevant experience or specialized certification may substitute for a degree.
Experience:
- A minimum of five years of professional experience working with seniors and/or individuals with disabilities.
- At least two years of leadership or supervisory experience is required; experience in public transportation is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations and sensitivity to issues related to individuals with disabilities.
- Assessment Experience: Familiarity with eligibility assessment processes and experience conducting information-gathering or functional interviews and assessments is preferred.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships across diverse groups.
- Communication Proficiency: Excellent ability to prepare and deliver presentations and reports effectively to city councils, boards, and the public.
- Organizational Skills: Strong commitment to accuracy with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Work Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage responsibilities with minimal direction.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) at an intermediate level or above.
Physical Requirements:
The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
- 50% travel required.
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
