Dispatch Team Lead

Transdev in Oakland, CA is hiring a Dispatch Team Lead.  Our Dispatch Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of Dispatchers and assisting the Supervisor with daily service performance, ensuring the seamless execution of missions requested by our client. This role focuses on team leadership, operational efficiency, and delivering high-quality results. As a Dispatch Team Lead, you will not only help drive operational excellence but also contribute to meaningful advancements in transportation that impact our community. Non-CBA Position:

  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $25.50 per hour ($53,040 annual) - Maximum $27.95 per hour ($58,136.00 annual)

 

Benefits include:

  • Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
  • Paid time off: maximum of four (4) days
  • Sick days: maximum of eight (8) days
  • Holidays: 11 holidays
  • Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with execution of daily operations plans that align with client specifications and priorities.
  • Provide leadership, training, and oversight for on-site workforce to ensure daily operational goals are met.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in handling sensitive operational and personnel matters.
  • Assist in team briefings and focused discussions, keeping employees informed of updates and expectations.
  • Support the leadership team with managing daily tasks, including mission assignments, meetings, and stakeholder communication.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a strong focus on data-driven decision-making to improve processes and service delivery.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

·           High school diploma or GED equivalent

·           Minimum of 2-3 years of dispatching experience preferred. 

·           Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.

·          Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason. 

 

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
  • Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
