POSITION TITLE: Enterprise Architect
LOCATION: Alpharetta, GA
DESCRIPTION:
The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of strategic solutions that align with Mativ’s business goals and objectives, which includes considering the overall business strategy, processes, technology infrastructure, and IT governance. The role involves analyzing the current state of the IT landscape, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation, and developing architecture strategies and roadmaps to guide the evolution of the enterprise architecture over time.
This role will be responsible for the architecture, integration design and implementation for multiple solutions, starting with Supply Chain projects that includes Transportation Management, Supply Chain Planning and Master Data Management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role encompasses all aspects of IT architecture. This includes Enterprise, Solution and Business Architecture.
Enterprise Architecture
- Drive the development and execution of the IT technology strategy.
- Developing and implementing an enterprise architecture framework.
- Shapes the direction of the enterprise architecture portfolio and its components, including systems, services, middleware, and information flows.
- Maximize opportunity for reuse across application platforms to reduce application footprint and cost wherever possible.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring efficient, secure, and supportive technology platforms.
- Develop and maintain architecture standards and principles. Collaborate across IT to implement these standards.
- Maintaining oversight of the solution architecture of all in-flight projects and proposals. Understand technical dependencies between in-flight projects and proposals.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation. Implement best practices and stay informed about emerging technologies, latest trends, and advancements.
Solution Architecture
- Define an effective integrated technology solution architecture that aligns with the business strategy and vision while ensuring a flexible and scalable technology landscape.
- Define enterprise solution architecture design and integration patterns with emphasis on reuse, scalability, performance, availability, security, and data governance.
- Provide clear guidance on technology & architecture across project portfolio to reduce project risk and cost.
- Maintain architectural diagrams for the enterprise.
- Provide deep dive trouble shooting when necessary.
Business Architecture
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technology solutions.
- Support business strategy development, identify new business capability and technology-driven opportunities and ensure alignment of IT strategy.
- Provide input to product and enterprise roadmaps. Assess project proposals for business architecture impacts in alignment with strategy and enterprise architecture.
- Develop architecture roadmaps to modernize and implement competitively advantaged capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- At least 15 years of experience in the IT disciplines and 10 years in Architecture or related discipline
- Deep understanding of business strategy, operations, and IT systems
- Proficiency in enterprise architecture and how it can be used to align business and IT goals.
- Ability to analyze and assess the current state of a business, business processes and IT solutions, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Proficiency in software development and architecture.
- Familiarity with compliance architecture and data management.
- Experience in risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Experience working with business leaders and IT teams to align business strategies and technology solutions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong analytical skills to gather and translate business requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to evolving technologies and organizational needs.
