Currently we have a need for a Key Account Manager Cable (KAM) for our Scapa Industrials US Cable Business.
Position Summary
The Key Account Manager Cable (KAM) is responsible for building strategic relationships with high value customers, by understanding the customer needs and tailoring our service and product offerings to make Scapa their preferred partner of choice. The KAM role will be the primary customer contact and responsible for growth of the business segment within their customer base.
Primary responsibilities : deliver the budgeted revenue and margin / develop a strong pipeline of new opportunities with key strategic customers /
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver the budgeted revenue and margin.
- Generate new business by aggressively seeking out new clients and opportunities.
- Grow the customer base by finding untapped markets, building relationships from scratch, and driving revenue growth through new account acquisition.
- Manages existing business at customers, while developing a strong and credible pipeline of new business opportunities with key strategic customers
- Manage new projects and opportunities to successful completion by aligning our resources and capabilities to match the specific customer need.
- Supports long-term goals and growth of the Scapa Industrials business unit.
- Work cross functionally to ideate and define future prospecting with R&D.
- Builds a clear and in-depth understanding of both the major existing & key potential customers, including all relevant individuals, their roles, decision-making powers and processes and the customer strategy as it relates to the Scapa product offering.
- Develops strong, professional relationships with all relevant stakeholders both within customers and potential customers as well as internally within Scapa.
- Continuously monitor competitive landscape and benchmark vs Scapa offering, sharing insights within the Cable commercial team.
- Attend technical workshops and seminars to develop & communicate a broad & in-depth understanding of the Cable market.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills:
- Candidate will be a self-starter and able to operate independently with minimal day-to-day direction but will also be able to form strong internal relationships.
- Proven track record of delivering on agreed and budgeted growth targets in technical manufacturing environments, preferably within a power and/or fiber optic cable environment.
- Minimum of 5 – 7 years’ experience (technical and/or commercial) in the Cable or energy sector.
- Must be able to understand and discuss highly technical subject matter with Cable customers.
- Proven sales experience selling into complex, multinational environments.
- Excellent communication and consulting skills with the ability to engage, motivate and influence stakeholders; the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
- Ability/willingness to travel up to 50% of time
- Good command of English is mandatory
Preferred Skills:
- Experience of working in a global organization within a matrix environment is advantageous
- Bachelor degree in Engineering
- US based, close to a major airport. In the Southeast is desirable but not required.
