Multi-Craft Maintenance Mechanic
Description
Responsibilities:
- Comply with all company and regulatory safety policies and standards.
- Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain new and existing production and facility equipment.
- Willing to be on-call to provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
- Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) to increase equipment reliability and up-time.
- Operate and maintain high pressure industrial water tube boilers.
- Prioritize and self-schedule maintenance work around production activities to achieve both production and maintenance KPIs.
- Troubleshoot problems, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Read and interpret blue prints, schematics, equipment manuals, electrical diagrams and ladder logic.
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on a wide variety of industrial equipment, including but not limited to pumps, gearboxes, blowers, motors, power transmission equipment, process controllers, drives, PLCs, etc.
- Perform calibrations, installation and maintenance of process instrumentation.
- This position will involve working rotating shifts, and some overtime and weekend work is required based on production schedules.
Qualifications:
- 5 years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred with proficiency in either mechanical or electrical trades. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both mechanical and electrical trades.
- High level of safety awareness and eagerness to advance your personal and co-workers’ safety well-being.
- Working knowledge of safety policies including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, machine guarding, hot-work permits, HAZCOM, etc.
- Highly motivated, quick learning individual that is able to work autonomously in a fast paced and often loud production environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds.
- Mechanical and Electrical aptitude, and desire to learn and advance your maintenance and technical skills.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
- Ability to troubleshoot, take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
- Troubleshooting experience with high speed automated continuous web handling equipment is a plus.
- PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus with multiple platforms such as Allen Bradley PLC5, Control Logix, Siemens, and Servo Drives.
- Computer skills and experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems is preferred.
- Welding experience and machine shop experience is a plus.
The hourly salary range for this position is anywhere from $21.94 to $30.17
