Electrical Engineer

Job Purpose
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems and components, focusing on hands-on fieldwork. This role requires both technical expertise and practical skills to ensure system reliability and performance. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project requirements, ensure safety, and support operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Analysis & Troubleshooting: Perform in-depth technical analysis and hands-on troubleshooting of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
- Fieldwork & Installation Support: Provide on-site support during system installation, ensuring proper setup, wiring, and functionality of electrical components.
- Testing & Commissioning: Conduct field testing, identify issues, and optimize system performance and reliability.
- Project Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and user manuals.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to national and international safety standards (NEC, IEC, OSHA).
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, mechanical engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
- Hands-On Support: Provide technical assistance to project teams and installation crews during construction and commissioning phases.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement system integration and process improvements.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on troubleshooting, fieldwork, and hands-on technical support.
- Excellent problem-solving and hands-on practical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Technical & Practical Skills:
- Strong understanding of electrical systems (UPS, generators, power distribution, control systems, lighting, etc.).
- Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment, with experience in wiring, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with industry standards (IEC, IEEE) and safety regulations.
- Ability to perform electrical calculations (load calculations, voltage drop, etc.).
- Skilled in using testing tools like multimeters, insulation testers, and other diagnostic equipment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with building electrical systems (lighting, power distribution, and control).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Hands-on experience with commissioning and field troubleshooting.
