ABOUT THE ROLE
At ARRISE, people are central to everything we do. As our (Senior) HR Specialist, you will play a
key role in driving a consistent, compliant, and people-focused HR experience across the
organisation. Acting as a bridge between HR operations and strategic people initiatives, this
role provides both hands-on HR support and advisory guidance to managers and employees,
ensuring the effective delivery of HR processes, employee relations management, and
continuous improvement of HR practices.
The Senior HR Specialist will work collaboratively with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and Employee
Experience teams to ensure seamless employee lifecycle management — from onboarding and
development to engagement and offboarding.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
HR Operations & Administration
- Manage daily HR tasks for designated business units, ensuring prompt and precise
- handling of employee information, contracts, promotions, and other employment
- records. Ensure compliance with Bulgarian labour legislation, internal policies, and
- company procedures.
- Handle employment documentation and liaise with relevant government authorities for
- all statutory filings.
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS (e.g., HiBob), ensuring data accuracy
- and GDPR compliance.
- Support HR reporting, metrics, and dashboards — providing insights to management on
- headcount, attrition, absence, and trends.
Employee Relations
- Serve as the initial point of contact for the designated client group concerning HR
- policies, employment terms, and workplace concerns.
- Assist managers in overseeing performance, attendance, grievances, and disciplinary
- matters in accordance with company policy and local legislation.
- Lead or support investigations and document processes for disciplinary and grievance
- procedures.
- Escalate complex employee relations cases to the HR Business Partner or HR Manager,
- providing well-prepared case summaries and recommendations.
- Keep precise ER case logs and help track patterns to spot proactive HR actions.
Employee Lifecycle & Engagement
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition and Employee Experience teams to ensure a
- seamless onboarding process for new hires, covering documentation, induction, and
- probation tracking.
- Deliver onboarding presentations and raise awareness of company culture, policies, and
- values.
- Coordinate offboarding procedures, making sure exit interviews and documentation are
- finished.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of employee engagement initiatives,
- wellbeing activities, and recognition programmes.
HR Projects & Process Improvement
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and
- templates that adhere to best practices and legislative requirements.
- Engage in HR initiatives such as performance management, learning and development,
- and employee engagement surveys.
- Promote ongoing enhancement of HR processes via digitalisation, automation, and
- streamlining workflows.
- Help prepare HR communications and training materials for managers and employees.
Strategic & Advisory Support
- Partner with local HR leadership and business leaders to support organisational
- development, change management, and workforce planning initiatives.
- Offer data-driven insights to assist management in making informed people decisions.
- Coach and guide managers on HR best practices, promoting a consistent and equitable
- employee experience throughout the business.
- Any other duties as required.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
- Proven experience in a generalist or HR specialist role within a fast-paced, international
- organisation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a
- related field is preferred.
- Solid understanding of Bulgarian employment law, HR procedures, and best practices.
- Extensive experience managing employee relations issues (disciplinary actions,
- grievances, performance reviews).
- Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., HiBob or similar) and strong Excel/reporting skills.
- Experience in supporting multi-country HR operations or working within a shared
- services environment.
- Familiarity with payroll procedures or coordination would be regarded as an asset.
- Excellent communication skills in both Bulgarian and English, in written and spoken
- forms.
- Strong attention to detail, discretion, and the capability to handle sensitive information.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities, with the confidence to
- advise managers.
- Proactive, organised, and adaptable to evolving business environments.
