Senior Backend Engineer - Retention/Sports/iGaming
Description
Join our team as a Senior Software Engineer and play a crucial role in driving our organisation's growth through the development of outstanding products.
This is a dynamic team that will be working on creating new cool features and integrating them into LeoVegas platforms.
Retention: In the retention team we build features for bonuses, rewards and mission systems (gamification) to differentiate our products from competitors. Also, this pillar has player account management and iGaming integration.
As a key member of our team, you’ll collaborate effectively while also demonstrating initiative and a passion for sharing innovative ideas.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
● Work with state-of-the-art technology stack and deliver features in our microservice ecosystem.
● Build, maintain, develop, test, deploy and enhance our products and features.
● Identify obstacles to ensure quality and improve our user experience and how we build our products.
● Work with product managers, architects, QA engineers and other developers in a highly collaborative agile environment.
● Build for scale, availability, performance and security across the stack.
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
● 5 + years of software development experience with Java and related frameworks such as Vert.x, Netty, Micrometer, Quarkus or Spring Boot (for the Retention team reactive stack is a must have), preferably in an agile environment
● Hands-on experience developing highly scalable RESTful Microservices
● Knowledge of both NoSQL databases, caching and messaging systems
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating technical decisions and offering valuable recommendations to the team
NICE TO HAVES
● Online gaming, gambling or sports betting experience
