Pilgrim’s wants YOU to join our Team as a Timekeeper, this is a temporary position, starting asap through February, possibly longer. Wage will be based on work history and education.  Work Schedule is Monday – Friday 7 am -3:30 pm, hours may vary.

POSITION SUMMARY: This position will work closely with operations and accounting management to assure the maintenance of internal control procedures, standards and compliance as it pertains to the Sarbanes Oxley Act and to ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles. 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 
  • Audit and reconcile wide range of personnel actions and payroll documents 
  • Running daily payroll reports 
  • Editing payroll records per supervisor’s request 
  • Filing payroll records 
  • Handling all payroll issues concerning clock times 
  • Working on temporary labor hours and other data 
  • Reconciling production between shop floor and SAP. 
  • Balancing finished product and raw meat inventories daily. 
  • Reconciling and tracking incoming raw meat and supplies. 
  • Clearing production errors within SAP and closing daily production. 
  • Assisting with weekly production data, weekly sales and transfer reports, and quarterly inventory audits. 
  • Logging product returns and verify disposition of returns. 
  • Backing up for other areas and within the department 
  • Other duties as required by management and supervision

  • Observe & enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies. 
  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams. 
  • Participates in process improvement and problem solving utilizing continuous improvement and rational thinking methodologies such as Six Sigma. Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks. Consistently practices, and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES 
  • 1-2 years clerical accounting/timekeeping and payroll experience preferred. 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. 
  • Must be able to examine and verify payroll documents and reports. 
  • Must be able to prepare a variety of reports and analyses. 
  • Must be detail oriented, be able to multitask, be organized, possess good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines is a must. 
  • Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and practices. 
  • Knowledge of SAP, KRONOS, and Microsoft Office.
