Quality Technician TEMP
Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Perform checks on HACCP, SSOP, and GMP Policies and on product to assure that the final product meets with all food safety and quality standards.
DAILY- TASKS DONE ON A DAILY BASIS/QUANTITATIVE TASKS
- Perform all regulatory procedures, which include HACCP, SSOP’s, Presentation, Pre-Chill Tests, Post-Chill Test, and AQL Giblets. These procedures include inspection of incoming materials, temperature checks, fecal contamination checks, quality defects such as bones, miscuts, ingesta (feed), bruises and bile.
- Monitor and conduct checks on programs such as Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP and SSOP’s and perform quality inspections.
- Monitor and conduct pH, chlorination and peracetic acid checks. Keep record of product decommission.
- Perform pre-operational inspection as scheduled/ required.
- Assist on microbial sample collections, APC testing and/or shelf-life studies as required.
- Evaluate shipping truck / external containers cleanliness and temperatures.
- The Pre-Shipment Reviewer (PSR) will ensure that all documentation is filled out properly and corrective actions are taken at established frequency. Also, the PSR will make sure all procedures for each Critical Control Point (CCP) and Pre Requisites are met prior to shipment.
- Be able to perform organoleptic evaluation of product older than 6 days.
Requisition
- Degree: High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Not necessary, but previous Quality Assurance experience in the Food Industry is preferred.
- Availability to work night shifts.

- $12.50 p/h
