Onboarding Supervisors are responsible for the Onboarding Program; this program supports new hires for their first 45-60 days of employment. The program goal is to ensure a smooth initial hire period, and to help the new hire meet goals set by Operations. This position provides direction and support, to Onboarding Coordinators, utilizing effective coaching, mentorship, and supervisory techniques. The Onboarding Supervisor is an extension of both Human Resources and Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures that safety is a condition and is responsible for compliance and enforcement of all safety directives. Administer, track, and evaluate all new hire orientation and onboarding in accordance with program guidelines. Supervise Onboarding Coordinators focusing on continued professional development and program adherence, and behaviors that support company Values. Demonstrate hands on training techniques for Onboarding Coordinators ensuring that Onboarding Coordinators are effectively meeting the needs of new hires. Collaborate with Human Resources and Operations to ensure new hires have proper job training for successful onboarding. Develop and promote positive working relationships between new hires, peers, and leaders. Participate in Human Resources and company committees. All other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Previous training experience is required. Must be able to effectively communicate with others, Bilingual is a plus. Must be able to work in hot/cold areas, stand for long periods, and know how to perform all jobs in the area. Successful candidates spend their time on the production floor focusing on the needs of Onboarding Coordinators and new hires. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Power Point. Professional communication, demeanor, and collaboration skills. Ability to present ideas, concepts, issues, concerns, and questions in a well thought out, positive, and professional manner to peers, direct reports, and employees. Excellent presentation skills and ability to foster an atmosphere of teamwork with others. Must be willing to work in a plant/industrial environment.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: High School Diploma/GED, Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred EOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled
