PLANT ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGER
Description
Plant Environmental Manager
Responsibilities:
· Reports to Plant Engineer.
· Lead person for energy and water conservation programs.
· Implementation and management of Energy Management System ( EnMS).
· Supervision of environmental technician, cross-functional groups and facility sustainability programs.
· Ensure compliant operation of rendering and other facility air treatment systems.
· Environmental training responsibility for the facility.
· Storm Water Pollution Prevention Team Leader.
· Required facility environmental inspections.
· Waste Management – recycling, solid waste, biosolids, used oil, universal waste and hazardous waste.
· Operation of Powered Industrial Trucks ( forklift, pallet Jack, Loader, etc.) as needed. Company will train.
· Environmental reporting.
· Participation in company safety programs and expectations.
· Participation in company food safety programs and expectations.
· Availability after-hours and weekends: 24-hour/5-6 day operation.
Experience:
· Degree in Environmental Science or related field or equivalent experience.
· Knowledge and/or experience with Packed-Bed Scrubbers.
· Previous supervisory experience or program.
· State wastewater operator license(s) or ability to obtain license within 8 months of hiring.
