IT Analyst – Poultry Plant Systems
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are seeking an IT Analyst – Poultry Plant Systems to support JBS and Pilgrim's operations. This position is primarily located at the Athens, GA facility, with responsibilities extending to other sites in the Atlanta region and may require travel between locations.
Working under direct supervision and following established IT procedures, assists senior analysts and managers in developing functional and design specifications, and in producing deliverables related to assigned projects within the Poultry Plant Systems space. Gathers, compiles, and synthesizes information related to technology, business processes, and systems. Supports senior analysts and managers with the design, installation, and maintenance of system projects.
Analyzes company functions, processes, and activities to enhance software applications and ensure the effective use of technology in addressing business challenges. Acts as a functional liaison between technical IT staff and non-technical business users to meet their information needs.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated ability to learn effectively in a hands-on setting
- Basic knowledge of poultry manufacturing operations, quality assurance, and shipping processes is preferred
- Previous experience working in poultry plants is desirable
- Technical aptitude and proven project management skills are preferred
- A four-year degree or equivalent industry experience is preferred
- Preferred familiarity with current plant floor systems, shipping systems, and quality assurance systems
- Basic understanding of IT processes, software development life cycle (SDLC), and project management methodologies
- Must be willing to offer ongoing support for production-related issues, including on-call rotations.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of IT project coordination principles, with the ability to support timely completion of assigned tasks and initiatives.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with business and operational teams.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation efforts.
- Willingness to learn and assist in developing and maintaining system roadmaps in partnership with business stakeholders.
- Foundational troubleshooting skills and the ability to support technical issue resolution alongside plant and operations personnel.
- General understanding of manufacturing, quality assurance, and shipping processes (internship or academic exposure preferred).
- Ability to gather information, research potential solutions, and document findings clearly and accurately.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base salary range of $58,000-$70,000;
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
