Position Title: Customer Service Representative
Department: Logistics
Location: Mount Pleasant, TX
Reports to: Operations Manager
Position Summary
The Customer Service Representative plays a key role in supporting logistics operations by managing customer relationships, coordinating freight activities, and ensuring service excellence. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Customer Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers via phone and email
- Communicate service issues and updates to assigned customers in designated areas
- Collaborate with Sales to identify new lanes, changing volumes, and additional business opportunities
Freight Coordination & Scheduling
- Schedule, enter, and communicate all customer delivery appointments
- Solicit freight from existing customers to match with logistics carrier partners
- Manage loads to ensure optimal equipment and driver utilization
- Communicate with logistics carriers regarding upcoming freight needs
Tracking & Communication
- Update daily check calls based on shipper requirements
- Monitor destinations, load capabilities, arrival times, driver availability, and potential transit delays
- Coordinate with customers and Sales to address needs and explore new opportunities
Carrier Procurement & Support
- Assist in carrier procurement activities to secure capacity for customer freight
- Support additional logistics and customer service functions as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with TMW and mobile communication systems preferred
- Dependable and adaptable in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Transportation industry experience preferred
- Strong customer service, planning, and organizational skills
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

- Base salary range of $18-$20 per hour depending on experience
