Benefits Specialist
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: The HR Benefits Specialist plays a key role in supporting the administration and management of JBS’ corporate benefit programs, with a primary focus on retirement plans. This onsite position at our Corporate Headquarters in Greeley, CO requires a detail-oriented professional who can deliver exceptional customer service to employees, ensure accurate recordkeeping, and maintain compliance with internal processes and audits. The Benefits Specialist will handle employee inquiries, assist with 401(k) enrollments, perform regular reporting and funding tasks, and lead projects or vendor calls as needed. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in data reconciliation across multiple systems, and the ability to work collaboratively with energy and enthusiasm in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the administration of JBS’ corporate benefit plans and programs. This may include any of the following:
- Provide customer service for JBS and Pilgrim’s employees, including answering emails and phone calls
- Assist in the enrollment of employees in the 401(k) plans
- Perform weekly/monthly processes, reports and funding for Retirement Plans
- Assist with gathering information for periodic and annual audits
- Oversight of accurate record management in SAP and vendor systems
- Proficient in data reconciliation between multiple data sources
- Accept the delegation of responsibilities from management and ensure the accurate and timely delivery of requested tasks
- Ability to lead vendor calls when needed
- Take lead on projects
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed
- Work with a high level of interest, energy and enthusiasm
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Preferred degree – Business, Human Resources, Accounting, or Finance
- Ability to complete multiple tasks on time
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and commitment to task
- Strong communication skills
- Positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Intermediate MS Excel knowledge (including VLOOKUP, if then statements, data validation, pivot tables)
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base salary range of $21.00 - $23.00 / hr;
