Corporate Payroll Tax Supervisor

 

 

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: JBS is looking for a Payroll Tax Supervisor to join our Shared Services team onsite at our corporate office in Greeley, CO. This person will lead the payroll tax team supporting the U.S. and Canada for 68,000+ team members. We are looking for a long-term team member to grow within the company and help us fulfill our mission of being the best in all that we do.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the payroll tax team, with 1 direct report
  • Ensure all companies are registered and licensed in all states with employees
  • Request new payroll state, SUI and local tax accounts
  • Responsible for quarterly and yearly tax filing of US W2s
  • Responsible for yearly filing of Canada T4s
  • Responsible for W2Cs
  • Research and audit any out of balance accounts
  • Troubleshoot and assist in resolution of tax filing issues with ADP
  • Testing of regulatory changes in SAP
  • Answer general questions from employees about tax setup
  • Assist with governmental/compliance reporting
  • Miscellaneous payroll tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; CPP/FPC certification preferred
  • Payroll tax knowledge required
  • Supervisor experience required
  • 3-5 years of experience in similar role
  • SAP, ADP, Excel knowledge preferred
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and privacy in all aspects of the job
  • Must have attention to detail and high level of accuracy 
  • Must be highly organized, self-motivated, proactive, and dependable
  • Must be able to multi-task various projects and tasks
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely to internal and external customers
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $77,000-$82,000; and
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
