Description

ActioNet has an immediate opportunity for a Software Quality Engineer requiring a Public Trust Clearance located in Lakeland, Florida. This position is Hybrid –  candidate will be required to be on-site 3 days a week, Zip Code 33811

You will join a close-knit and highly technical team of developers and systems administrators that support our federal client.

 Responsibilities

  • Architect and design test frameworks from scratch for both manual testing and test automation, to be applied mostly to stand-alone applications.
  • Develop and execute test plans including feature and regression. 
  • Create test scenarios for the functionalities and execute the test cases to check if the expected results are actualized.
  • Managed testing and release schedules by planning test cycles, tracking test results and reporting bugs in the software to the development team.
  • Resolve testing problems by modifying testing methods during tests; conferring with management to revise test objectives and standards.
  • Maintaining absolute traceability of deliverable software requirements throughout the Test cycle.
  • Upgrade old code to improve performance and functionality
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
  • Collaborate with engineers 

 

Qualifications 

  • Per contract requirement, must be US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • At least 2 years of experience in software quality engineering, quality assurance processes, or software testing of stand alone applications.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with Linux operating system and creation of Linux virtual machines, local and on Azure Cloud.
  • Experience, building  and maintain  a CI/CD pipeline in Azure Cloud.
  • Write code when required. Languages: Java, C++, Python, C#, Javascript.
  • Experience with database-driven applications: Microsoft SQL Server and Postgresql.
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
  • Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit test.
  • Highly organized individual with the ability to troubleshoot complex problem's
  • Ability to communicate with clients and team members clearly and effectively

  • Government or Government Contract experience
