Description
ActioNet has an open opportunity for a Senior Program Manager eligible for SECRET Clearance. ActioNet is an IT service provider and solutions integrator headquartered in Vienna, VA that works with the Federal Government and Department of Defense. The ideal candidate will have experience managing large IDIQs. This role is HYBRID – candidates should be local and able to work on-site in Charleston, SC.
The Senior Program Manager will leverage extensive leadership experience and project management expertise to oversee and drive the success of multiple complex defense projects, including serving as Program and Project manager for Multiple Award Indefinite Quality Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts and task orders. This role involves working closely with customers and ActioNets senior leadership, building rapport, collaborating with schedulers, and positioning the company to compete on future task orders. Initially, the Senior Program Manager will act as a project controller to support existing projects and help position new contracts and task orders, ultimately leading these projects as Program Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership and Team Coordination: Lead and manage a diverse team of professionals across various disciplines, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment through effective task delegation and coordination.
- Project Management and Execution: Plan, execute, and control project schedules while collaborating with team members and government representatives to meet project objectives on time and within budget.
- Financial Oversight: Maintain the financial health of projects by developing robust financial models for monthly and annual projections and tracking project actuals. Manage combined budgets totaling over $50 million with demonstrated success.
- Customer Engagement and Reporting: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, working with their schedulers and positioning the company for future ISTC task orders. Generate and ensure timely submission of all required reports, including Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) reports, and provide regular updates on project status, risks, and financial health.
- Transition Manager: Manages the transition for newly awarded contracts, tasks, and delivery orders.
- Proposal Support: Assists in proposal capture and development activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven leadership success in managing multifaceted teams and combined budgets exceeding $50 million with zero budget overruns
- Extensive project management experience in the defense sector, including overseeing DevSecOps teams and managing complex, matrixed project budgets
- Strong technical background in Information Assurance, Networking, Software Integration, and Configuration Management
- Excellent financial acumen in developing models and tracking project actuals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of collaborating effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Active Secret clearance, with eligibility for Top Secret
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.A. in Project Management or a related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
