Description

ActioNet has an immediate opportunity for a Web Developer. This position requires a Public Trust Clearance Level and is located in Washington, DC. This is a standard workweek environment supporting customers across the globe.

 

Are you ready to join our great Support team? You will be creating a website that will play an important role in providing information and data to meet management requirements. The perfect candidate for this position will bring a thorough understanding of Drupal 7/8/9 and strong experience implementing and adhering to web standards and best practices, including Section 508 compliance.

 

You will join a close-knit and highly technical team of Content Managers, Systems Engineers, and a Web Master who support multiple entities with web development activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary Web Developer responsible for creating and managing the content on a public-facing website.
  • Design and build a website according to listed FRD and SOW requirements.
  • Coordinate and regularly report website progress, changes, and issues to stakeholders and management.
  • Comply with all agency security and Web Design frameworks, compliances, etc.
  • Conduct Preliminary and Critical design reviews with stakeholders.
  • Track project development tasks against milestones and delivery dates.
  • Plan and lead the creation of Drupal 9 or the recommended best CMS tool(s).
  • Provide advice and input to the Government on best practices and potential improvements to the website and other public-facing websites.
  • Maintain documentation on the structure, design, and processes for website content management.
  • Coordinate with the server administrators to deploy updates between development, staging, and production environments.
  • Perform Drupal administrative functions on Drupal 7, 8, and 9 sites, including user account management, setting roles and permissions, checking for updates, and troubleshooting issues with Drupal and its installed modules/features.
  • Develop and implement improvements to Drupal sites such as new modules and functionality, site templates, and related web services on Drupal 7, 8, and 9.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on web development experience (Drupal 7/8/9 experience).
  • Familiarity with GIT for source management.
  • Familiarity with Web standards and best practices including Section 508 compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a major web design and development project.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and tracking web projects and schedules.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
  • Ability to work independently.

 

  • Experience in software development, including secure coding practices and modern development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps).
