ActioNet is looking for a Software Engineer III to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of cutting-edge software solutions supporting Department of Navy programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, programming, and modern development methodologies, as well as demonstrated expertise in Oracle technologies and related frameworks. Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain computer and network software, including database maintenance within application areas.
  • Apply programming concepts and modern software development methodologies, such as Agile and DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS.
  • Support the development, testing, and implementation of Department of Navy requirements, programs, and projects.
  • Contribute to database development, web page design, and Computer-Based Training (CBT) development.
  • Utilize tools such as Oracle JDeveloper, ADF Faces, ADF-Business Components, PL/SQL, Java, and reporting frameworks like Jaspersoft Reports.
  • Manage version control systems (e.g., Git) and work within operating environments like Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.
  • Leverage UI frameworks (PrimeFaces) and ORM frameworks (Hibernate) for software design and implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Master’s degree with 10+ years of professional experience or Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of professional experience in engineering, mathematics, or a related quantitative field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems).
    • Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification required.
  • Experience:
    • Hands-on experience in the research, design, and development of specialized utility programs, including database maintenance within application areas.
    • 3+ years of technical experience supporting Department of Navy programs and projects.
    • 4+ years of specific programming experience with Oracle JDeveloper, ADF Faces, ADF-BC, SQL, PL/SQL, Java, or similar programming languages.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in database development, web page design, and CBT development.
  • Experience with reporting frameworks, version-control systems, and modern integrated development environments.
  • Familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8, JetBrains IntelliJ, PrimeFaces UI Framework, and Hibernate ORM Framework.
