Description
ActioNet has an opportunity for a Disaster Recovery Specialist requiring a Public Trust clearance in the Washington, D.C., metro area. Hybrid work is available. You will play a multifaceted role and be the main Point of Contact (POC) to develop and update disaster recovery plans, conduct disaster recovery exercises, and support the organization in the event of real-time disasters or Continuity of Operations (COOP) events. The ideal candidate will have solid disaster recovery planning experience and a robust understanding of IT infrastructure. The right candidate will work well with a team, exhibit excellent customer service skills, be self-motivated, and seek ways to improve the environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to develop and update disaster recovery plans and business impact analysis
- Conduct disaster recovery exercises
- Support the organization in the event of real-time disasters or COOP events
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure disaster recovery readiness
- Provide technical support and guidance on disaster recovery planning, training, and awareness, as well as compliance and documentation
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members
Basic Qualifications (required):
- 8+ years of experience in disaster recovery planning
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and disaster recovery processes
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering, or related field
- ITIL 4
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Disaster Recovery Certified Specialist (DRCS), DRII Certified Business Continuity Professional, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM))
