Envestnet is seeking a passionate and talented Product Management Principal Director to join our Envestnet|D&A team. This position is a remote role.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Product Owner Principal Director to translate Envestnet’s Wealth Data Platform for the RIA market. Currently, this is being conceived of via two go-to-market strategies.

First, the Wealth Data Platform – Professional is an out-of-the-box solution targeting medium to large RIAs:

  1. Gain visibility to normalized, connected, and useful data sets across the RIA’s business that were previously messy, disparate, and incomplete 
  2. Retain and increase wallet share, with end-clients and at scale, by using business intelligence, effective next best actions, and practice valuation analytics 
  3. Minimize financial and compliance risks over time by enabling more uniform, data-driven portfolio management processes and alleviating unintended bias 

Second, the Wealth Data Platform – Starter is a self-service solution, sold entirely online, targeting small RIAs and unaffiliated Independent Advisory Reps (IARs) to do 3 things while helping achieve their financial wellness goals: 

  1. Connect, grow, protect, and manage financial wellness in one place
  2. Integrate data from many applications: accounting, CRM, ERP, ecommerce, etc
  3. Access offers for SMB credit, insurance, loans, technology, and business services

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a vision, road-map, growth opportunities, and product backlog according to business value or ROI.
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities.
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
  • Set direction for Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements.
  • Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on.
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product.
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories.
  • Research and analyze market, the users, and the roadmap for the product.
  • Follow our competitors and the industry.
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends.
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested. 
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of software product management experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a financial technology role
  • BS/BA in computer science, business administration or related major or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Managed the significant and successful growth of a product management department or function
  • Exceptional organizational, communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with clients, colleagues and cross-functional teams, as well as third parties
  • Working knowledge of the RIA sector in the Wealth Management industry
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and self-starter
  • Experience working within an agile release train and partnering with other Product Owners within the train

Salary:

The annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $220,000.
