Responsibilities

  • Define product strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives and market opportunities
  • Act in an expert capacity for multiple product(s) and solutions to identify trends, gaps, and positioning opportunities. 
  • Create plans and strategies to achieve the product objectives, including published product roadmaps that will articulate the product direction to both internal departments and external customers.
  • Establish organizational alignment and buy-in of future product strategy.
  • Drive go-to-market strategy including pricing, positioning, and launch planning
  • Assists Sales Enablement with pricing strategies.
  • Coordinate with sales and marketing teams on product messaging, training, and customer feedback
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and product strategy to align product initiatives with company strategy to validate product-market fit 
  • Influence priorities of department work.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and QA teams to ensure feasible and timely product delivery
  • Lead cross-functional product teams through planning, execution, and delivery cycles
  • Present product updates and performance metrics to stakeholders and leadership teams
  • Manage relationships with key customers and partners to gather requirements and validate solutions
  • Monitor customer satisfaction metrics and implement strategies to improve retention and engagement
  • Create User Focus groups to validate and adjust current product vision/strategy.
  • Provide input regarding partner relationships on whether to buy, sell, or partner on new features.
  • Builds / maintains relationships with 3rd party integration vendors.
  • Champions new technologies and functions required to keep Tyler competitive. 
  • Proactively communicate with senior management on the product’s performance, any major issues with the products or any changes in the market or competition related to the product area.
  • Contributes to the advancement of the team environment through integrity, leadership, and continuous knowledge transfer. 
  • Mentors product analysts on best practices and career development
  • Mentors staff and team members, with a focus on professional growth, product ownership and leadership. 
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree Computer Sciences, Management Information Science, or Business.  Equivalent work experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • Typically, 5+ years of experience working with enterprise-level software development projects and applications. 
  • Proven track record of the highest knowledge.
  • Highly advanced knowledge of Agile SCRUM development processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the full software development lifecycle and associated methodologies helpful.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple work tasks effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including communicating technical and non-technical information in writing and verbally.
  • Knowledge and experience with data modeling, relational databases concepts, and understanding SQL queries.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team and across functional groups.
  • Ability to be effective in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to travel occasionally if requested.
