Description

We are seeking a Director, IT Financial Applications and Product Portfolio to provide strategic leadership for a portfolio of mission-critical enterprise financial applications. This role ensures product investments deliver measurable business value, align with corporate strategies, and meet regulatory requirements. This role ensures all finance applications are governed through consistent product management practices.  This role ensures end-to-end accountability for audit compliance, budget alignment, strategic direction, lifecycle management and value realization in alignment with enterprise architecture and established data frameworks. 
 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary IT interface to Finance executive leadership.
  • Define in partnership with key business leaders the product backlog and prioritization, own and develop the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for financial application product portfolios.
  • Align the IT finance portfolio with the broader enterprise IT transformation portfolio and priorities
  • Present roadmap and investment business cases to the CIO and Finance executives. Lead Agile/SAFe based product delivery initiatives.
  • Lead steering committee meetings, roadmap development and review sessions, demonstrations and requirements workshops.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to translate strategy into executable roadmaps.
    Lead, coach, and develop team members, establishing clear accountability for outcomes.
  • Partner with internal and external compliance bodies ensuring clear understanding of controls and accountability for meeting the requirements of SOX404 and Substantive/Financial Statement audit procedures.
  • Partner with Compliance and Internal Audit on a risk remediation strategy.
    Partner with key business leaders on product governance, develop and implement intake, prioritization, and lifecycle management standards.
  • Lead the assessment, rationalization, and integration of finance systems used by acquired companies into the enterprise portfolio and IT standards.
  • Oversee investment prioritization across enhancements, integrations, and work to reduce technical debt in alignment with enterprise architecture standards and established data frameworks.
  • Lead total cost of ownership optimization for the entire portfolio.
  • Define annual budgets ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and ongoing refinement of costs.
    Serve as subject matter expert for major product initiatives and platform modernization efforts.
  • Ensure adoption of new technologies through communication and change management plans, documentation and delivery of workshops, acceptance testing and timely execution.

Scope and Impact (Accountability)

  • Accountable for continuous improvement and ongoing reliability of Financial Applications, outcomes, adoption, and value realization across a portfolio of enterprise products.
  • Influences technology investment decisions, delivery priorities, and long-term platform sustainability.
  • Supports global IT finance capabilities.
  • Accountable for systems underpinning SEC reporting.
  • Acts as the primary escalation and decision authority for product-related trade-offs.

Complexity

  • Balance various stakeholder priorities, competing business priorities, technology constraints, and risk considerations across existing portfolios and emerging projects.
  • Navigate complex stakeholder environments, governing enterprise-scale platforms, and aligning short-term delivery with long-term strategic objectives.  
  • Apply structured product management and delivery practices to ensure alignment with established business outcomes, enterprise architectural goals and established data frameworks.
  • Communicate complex financial concepts and process impacts to both technical and non-technical audiences.  
  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives, cross functional and geographically diverse teams and vendor relationships.
 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with financial application audit, security and compliance standards, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CIA preferred.
  • Familiarity with Project Management/Agile standards, PMP, PMI-ACP or equivalent preferred.
    10+ years of experience in product management, digital platforms, or technology leadership.
  • 5+ years in people leadership.
    Demonstrated experience leading product teams and owning enterprise-scale financial platforms in a SOX-regulated environment.
  • Proven success driving platform modernization or ERP transformation initiatives.
    Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, data governance, and delivery frameworks.
    Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Required to undergo and satisfactorily pass a fingerprint background check in accordance with CJIS requirements.
