Interface Specialist
Description
The Interface Specialist interprets internal and third-party information and applies solutions to special interfaces within Municipal Justice software products. The Interface Specialist configures and trains clients on various interface applications and merchant processing systems as well as assists in the development of products and documentation for the interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Commits to expanding technological skills and knowledge of the interfaces Municipal Justice integrates with
- Works with development and product teams where appropriate to identify gaps or needs with integrations
- Responsible for creating or enhancing documentation for integrations
- Solve problems effectively in an ever-evolving environment with continuously evolving technologies
- Works with various static and configurable interfaces and underlying technologies such as file drops, web service calls, and APIs
- Has a rudimentary understanding of networks / networking to advise on things such as ports, ACLs, routing rules, etc. to allow communications to effectively pass through client networks
- Has experience with firewalls and S/FTP configurations
- Able to troubleshoot various output file types such as XML, RTF, etc.
- Maintain an approachable and courteous demeanor in both verbal and written communication to ensure clients’ confidence in the organization and deliverables
- Responsibly communicates to all parties involved in interface configuration to meet and manage client expectations.
- Effective communication skills in conducting end user training for clients on how to utilize Municipal Justice interfaces
- Works effectively both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Accurately record all details and progress in incident tracking system(s).
- Resolves issues of basic to advanced complexity utilizing knowledge of established guidelines, company policies, and contract specifications.
- Ability to work collaboratively with integrating Tyler teams to prioritize interface setup and on time delivery between Tyler products

Qualifications
- Four-year college degree is preferred.
- Software life-cycle knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge or work experience in the domains that Municipal Justice serves is a plus; i.e. municipal financial management and/or municipal courts.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Superior analytical skills and logical reasoning.
- Ability to work effectively with developers, network technicians and clients.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Knowledge of standards for Windows®-based software
