Description

This Product Manager role focuses specifically on identifying, shaping, and delivering Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives across multiple product lines and business units. The individual in this role will develop deep expertise in AI implementation approaches and best practices, helping guide how AI capabilities are introduced into existing products to create meaningful customer and business value. They will partner closely with Senior Product Leaders, General Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate opportunities, define product strategy, and prioritize initiatives. Working with a small, highly skilled agile team that includes senior developers, this Product Manager will translate AI concepts into practical, scalable product capabilities that align with organizational priorities and product roadmaps.
 
Hybrid Work Policy:  This is a hybrid role which requires the candidate to be in the Plano, TX office at least 3 days per week. 
 
Travel: 10%

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains a current understanding of market trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI). Assesses how these trends impact product roadmaps and identifies opportunities to introduce AI-driven innovation across existing products and product lines.
  • Acts in an expert capacity for assigned product areas with a particular focus on AI capabilities and implementation approaches. Develops a deep understanding of product and client requirements and establishes a clear vision for how AI can enhance product functionality and customer value.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on AI implementation best practices for existing products, helping guide product teams and leadership on effective and responsible adoption of AI capabilities.
  • Responsible for owning and maintaining a prioritized backlog to ensure initiatives, including AI-related enhancements, are handled in a timely and strategic manner.
  • Establishes a regular cadence with the user base and internal stakeholders to demonstrate new features, explain product changes, and communicate the long-term product and AI innovation vision.
  • Responsible for ensuring use cases, product requirements, and technical specifications meet client requirements and appropriately incorporate AI capabilities where applicable.
  • Influences product plans and strategies to achieve product objectives across product areas, including developing and communicating product roadmaps that articulate direction and AI opportunities to internal teams and external customers.
  • Works closely with Senior Product Leaders, General Managers, and cross-functional teams to evaluate, prioritize, and implement AI initiatives that span multiple product lines and business units.
  • Collaborates with a small agile team, including senior developers, to translate AI concepts and opportunities into practical, scalable product capabilities.
  • Influences work on new projects and features based on system requirements defined by business system owners.
  • May provide sales support by assisting with responses to RFPs and potentially performing product demonstrations that highlight product capabilities and AI-driven innovations.
  • Responsible for launching new releases to the organization and ensuring successful adoption across product-line teams.
  • Proactively communicates with senior management regarding product performance, major issues, and changes in market dynamics or competitive landscape.
  • Contributes to the advancement of the team environment through integrity, leadership, and continuous knowledge transfer.
  • Mentors staff and team members, helping build professional skills, product expertise, and understanding of emerging technologies.
  • Responsible for high-level design requirements and documentation with foresight for the future maintainability and scalability of the software.
  • Learns and analyzes client business requirements, continually expanding domain expertise as experience grows in the role.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth, particularly in the evolving field of AI-enabled software.
  • Primary owner of product outcomes, KPIs, and value metrics for assigned initiatives.
  • Partners with other product teams to ensure strong cross-product collaboration and alignment across the broader product portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in the product management discipline.
  • Proven track record influencing product direction and driving product initiatives from concept through delivery.
  • Demonstrated interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies, with some experience evaluating or supporting the integration of AI capabilities into software products or business processes.
  • Familiarity with AI concepts, capabilities, and implementation considerations within modern software platforms is preferred.
  • Highly advanced knowledge of Agile development processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle and associated methodologies.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple work streams effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate both technical and non-technical concepts clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Knowledge and experience with data modeling, relational database concepts, and an understanding of SQL queries.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within teams and across functional groups.
