As an Inside Systems Engineer (iSE) at Nutanix, you’ll play a pivotal role in our presales organization, partnering with Inside Account Executives (IAEs) to drive technical solutions and support sales within your assigned territory. Based in Bangalore,  you’ll collaborate with customers in the India region to understand their needs, showcase the value of Nutanix solutions, and deliver outstanding results.


About the Team

Our Systems Engineering & Solution Sales organization is made up of 800+ customer-focused technical sales professionals responsible for identifying and matching technology opportunities with customers’ business issues and objectives. This team also acts consultatively and is seen as an expert in their field by the Nutanix sales, customer success, business partners, and customers.


Your Role

  • Collaborate with IAEs (Inside Account Executives) to achieve or exceed revenue targets by identifying customer needs, proposing solutions, and addressing objections to close deals.
  • Demonstrate features and articulate benefits of Nutanix solutions through remote engagements, including presentations, technical consultations, and product demonstrations to influence customers’ purchases.
  • Set up, configure and maintain Nutanix solutions in hosted POC environments to validate performance for customers
  • Size and configure Nutanix solutions according to customer’s unique needs.
  • Collaborate with sales & channel counterparts in developing account plans, customer persona coverage models, and proposal creation to recommend and design solutions based on Nutanix offerings.
  • Build long-term business relationships and become a trusted advisor, leveraging technical expertise to identify opportunities and drive success.
  • Lead technical sales efforts for assigned accounts, including customer and partner engagements, while leveraging senior SE support as needed.
  • Maintain Nutanix certifications and at least one relevant industry certification to stay ahead in an evolving market.

What You Will Bring

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related technical field or relevant experience.

  • 3 to 5 years of related experience in a high-tech sales environment with a proven track record of success. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: You can work with a wide variety of people and collaborate with geographically distributed teams, effectively communicating to technical and non-technical audiences.

·       Proficiency with Zoom, whiteboarding tools, and remote collaboration platforms.

  • Strong understanding of application virtualization, server virtualization, containers & cloud native apps, networking, storage, and platform performance/sizing. 
  • Hands-on technical aptitude and agility to adapt according to market demands.
  • A passion for technology and learning with a can-do attitude.
  • A strong desire to continuously learn, grow, and expand your knowledge, paired with the curiosity to explore new technologies, concepts, and customer challenges to drive innovative solutions.
  • Thorough understanding of technical sales techniques, including needs analysis, objection handling, and business case development.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Flexible and adaptable: You embrace ambiguity and can adapt to change or new situations.
  • A customer-first mindset: You are passionate about delivering a high-quality support experience and providing customers with the products they need to succeed.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, determine project urgency, and execute detailed action plans.
  • Ability to perform and execute a flawless proof of concept.
  • Travel may be required occasionally as needed but it is not anticipated to be a significant percentage of the time.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
