The Opportunity
Nutanix is seeking a strong Developer or Technical Lead to join our Nutanix Move team, which builds solutions that simplify application and workload mobility across diverse hypervisors and cloud platforms. If you have deep experience in systems programming, virtualization, and cloud orchestration, and want to work on cutting-edge migration technologies, we’d love to hear from you.
About the Team
At Nutanix, we’re building a hybrid multicloud platform that powers some of the world’s most demanding workloads. You’ll work on innovative migration tools and play a direct role in enabling enterprises to adopt Hybrid Cloud strategies with minimal friction.
Your Role
- Design and develop scalable solutions to enable seamless mobility of applications, files, security policies, and other artifacts across hypervisors, environments, and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Translate product requirements into detailed technical architecture and design.
- Focus on performance optimization, scalability, and resiliency of solutions.
- Collaborate closely with development, QA, documentation, and product management teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Engage with customers and support teams to resolve issues and drive product adoption.
What You Will Bring
- 7–12 years of professional experience in systems development, particularly in backend/virtualization/cloud-focused roles.
- Strong programming expertise in one or more of the following: Go, C.
- Solid understanding of and development experience in areas such as:
- Linux systems programming
- Database backends
- Cloud infrastructure technologies
- Experience with virtualization platforms and concepts:
- VMware, KVM
- Containers / Docker
- Storage systems and architecture
- Proven ability to design scalable and maintainable systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
