Senior/Staff Consultant - Cloud Native
- Architect and design scalable, secure, and resilient Kubernetes infrastructure solutions tailored to customer requirements across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments
- Guide customers through technical assessments (i.e. Workshop expertise), architectural reviews, and solution design, ensuring seamless integration with their existing infrastructure
- Support pre-sales activities by scoping customer needs, defining technical approaches, and developing level of effort (LOE) estimates for proposed solutions
- Lead deployment and lifecycle management of Kubernetes clusters, including workload placement, storage integration, and networking configurations
- Implement GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate provisioning and cluster management using tools like Terraform and Ansible
- Develop documentation, operational runbooks, and reference architectures to support customer enablement and long-term maintainability
- Contribute to practice development by creating and enhancing reusable delivery kits, implementation templates, and internal training content
- Stay current on cloud-native technologies and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, security, and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Professional Services, Practice Development, Product Management, and Engineering—to deliver high-impact solutions and drive innovation
- 10+ years of experience in Consulting, DevOps, systems administration, or infrastructure engineering roles
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and supportable technical solutions
- Extensive hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, including design, deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting in production environments
- Demonstrated experience architecting end-to-end container-based solutions, including high availability, resilience, and security
Proficiency with hybrid and multi-cloud Kubernetes deployments (e.g., on-premises, AWS, Azure, GCP) - Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, and Python
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipeline tools and workflows, especially as they relate to Kubernetes environments (such as GitOps, Argo, Flux, etc.)
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible
- Solid grasp of networking, firewalls, service meshes, ingress controllers, and container security best practices, incl. DNS, idP (LDAP, OIDC, SAML, etc).
- Proficiency in both Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience with Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKE/NKP) or similar enterprise Kubernetes distributions (OpenShift, Rancher, etc.) is a strong plus
- Architectural design expertise with one or more of the following certifications: TOGAF, VCDX, CCIE, or NPX
- Solid Nutanix or vSphere infrastructure knowledge as well as NFS and Object Storage
- Excellent problem-solving skills
