Hiring Range: $26.89 – $33.61 Per Hour

Kitsap Mental Health Services is hiring a Quality Assurance Specialist to play a critical role in supporting the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services. You will evaluate clinical performance, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and collaborate on developing effective strategies to enhance clinical processes and documentation. This position offers the opportunity to influence agency growth and improve outcomes through data-driven decision-making and collaborative efforts.



Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct reviews across all clinical programs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with best practices.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to evaluate and enhance recovery-oriented, patient-centered care delivery.
  • Track program outcomes, identify trends, and provide recommendations to promote staff growth and improve client care.
  • Review client documentation to ensure services align with agency guidelines and meet the needs of clients.
  • Develop and refine processes, workflows, and systems to facilitate quality care and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide education, training, and technical assistance to staff in collaboration with the Quality leadership and Training Department.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives addressing gaps in care and health disparities.
  • Assist in audits, including Department of Health, Managed Care Organizations, and internal reviews, by pulling and reviewing charts and ensuring preparedness.
  • Generate reports tracking client engagement, clinical responses, and discharges to improve client care and health equity.
  • Stay up to date on all behavioral health treatment standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance practices.
  • Work collaboratively with teams to address and improve operational efficiency and client outcomes.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, nursing, or other behavioral health or human services field.

LICENSURE: Registered Agency Affiliated Counselor (as of 2024/2025)

EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience)

Minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience in psychiatric or behavioral health treatment.

This position requires driving in a personal vehicle on behalf of the agency; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in the state of Washington, and have reliable, insured transportation.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in nursing, social work, or behavioral health field.

LICENSURE: Certified Agency Affiliated Counselor (as of 2024/2025) OR Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor OR Active Full or Associate License in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or other behavioral health field.

EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum 4 years of job-related experience)

Experience in patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.
