Hiring Range: $29.58 – $36.97 Per Hour

$3,000 Sign-On Bonus*

Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is hiring a Clinical Trainer II to drive clinical excellence across the agency through high-impact training and development. In this role, you will design and deliver innovative training programs to support clinicians at every level—from onboarding to continued professional development. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead training for clinical staff in treatment planning, documentation, clinical notes, and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Develop and implement strategies based on clinical chart reviews, leadership input, and identified agency-wide trends.
  • Perform ongoing training needs assessments and develop responsive training materials and curricula.
  • Partner with clinical leaders to develop and maintain an essential learning curriculum for all clinical roles.
  • Provide system and clinical consultation to ensure training is integrated into daily practice and agency goals.
  • Promote and support the integration of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorder services, as well as whole-person care.
  • Monitor training effectiveness through feedback strategies and support sustainability planning and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee agency clinical instructors to ensure coverage and compliance with Washington Administrative Code and certification standards.
  • Stay current with trends in community mental health, evidence-based practices, diagnostic models, and healthcare reform.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health field

EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience)

Minimum of 2 years of experience working with seriously and persistently mentally ill and seriously emotionally disturbed individuals and their families across the lifespan in outpatient, inpatient and residential settings.

LICENSURE: Eligibility for Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE: Expert (established subject matter expert, 7+ years of experience)

 

Performance Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE:

  1. Knowledge and experience in training evidence –based practices required.  Experience in conducting and leading small and large group presentations
  2. Knowledge of Electronic Medical/Health Records. Knowledge of the Credible system preferred.
  3. Ability to be certified to train a variety of trainings with pre-established curricula.   

 

SKILLS:

  1. Must have excellent public speaking / oral communication skills in order to convey information and concepts effectively. 
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems. 

 

ABILITIES:

  1. Able to assist in building positive working relationships with staff of all agency departments.

 

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

 

Work Environment: Frequent mobility and/or sitting required for extended periods.

 

Mental/Physical RequirementsWhile performing the job duties, the employee is required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk, or listen.
