Are you a proactive leader with expertise in sanitation procedures and a passion for safety and team development? Pilgrim’s is looking for a Sanitation Supervisor to ensure our Cold Spring, MN processing plant is ready for production daily.
Responsibilities: As a Sanitation Supervisor, you will be a driving force behind the plant's cleanliness and safety compliance during the afternoon shift. You will lead a dedicated team, ensuring all production areas are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and receive final approval from the USDA before the next shift begins. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys developing others.
- Team Leadership: Plan, assign, and direct the work of your sanitation team members, providing training, performance feedback, and mentorship to help them succeed.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere strictly to established cleaning procedures and safety protocols, meeting rigorous standards set by Pilgrim’s and regulatory agencies.
- Regulatory Liaison: Maintain professional communication with USDA representatives and chemical suppliers.
- Operational Management: Manage the inventory and usage of sanitation products, oversee the departmental budget, and administer company policies fairly and equitably.
- Communication: Promote goodwill and positive morale through proactive team communication and involvement.
What You’ll Need: We are looking for an individual with a strong foundation in sanitation practices and supervisory principles.
- Education: High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in related field preferred.
- Experience: 1 or more years of previous supervisory experience with leadership skills of 20+ employees preferred. Considerable knowledge of sanitation procedures and supervisory management practices; Poultry or food industry experience is a plus.
- Skills: Effective communication both orally and in writing, capable of independent decision-making, proficient in MS Office software applications, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Somali skills preferred.
