PRODUCTION HOURLY 

 

 

General Summary: JBS is seeking quality, motivated people to join the JBS team. This role will involve working on a production line and performing tasks that require safe and responsible handling of knives. Ideal candidates thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment and are looking for a role with strong potential for growth.     

 

Responsibilities: 

  •        Use assortment of knives, steel, and a hook to perform job tasks
  •        Maintain sharpness of knives and develop effective knife-sharpening skills
  •        Operate heavy equipment
  •        Bag and Box product
  •        Properly utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  •        Expected to work, hands on, at a high speed and lift over 50 lbs
  •        Maintain clean work areas and adhere to all food safety protocols
  •        Must adhere to JBS specifications in product to ensure quality of meat
  •        Prepare meat for packing, which may include shaving or washing
  •        Inspect meat or meat products and/or packaging
  •        Remain alert to surroundings and properly report hazards to a supervisor
  •        Other duties as assigned  

 

Qualifications:

  •        Experience in production settings preferred
  •        Prior work in a manufacturing environment preferred
  •        Ability to work safely around chemicals, machinery, and knives
  •        Comfortable working in conditions with slippery floors, extreme temperatures, and loud noise
  •        Ability to work 40+ hours
  •        Strong attendance and safety records
  •        Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
