Fleet Accounting Manager 
  
Responsible for Accounting support associated with Pilgrim’s Fleet and Truck Shops. This position works closely with Live Operations Management and Truck Shop leadership to identify opportunities, preparing and closing capital projects, assisting with annual budget preparation, leading and supporting digital transformation projects, managing truck shop accounting, Fleet leases and buyouts, Fuel inventory and vendor payments, assist and direct the development of internal control procedures, standards, and compliance as it pertains to the Sarbanes Oxley Act and to insure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles. 
  • Fleet Accounting Management including the following: 
  • Truck Shop accounting including general ledger posting, TMT administration, inventory reporting and accuracy, warranty capture, and accounts payable processing. 
  • Fleet Asset Management including capital projects, leasing, lease buyouts, titling, registration, apportionment, and regulatory reporting. 
  • Fuel Inventory Management including inventory accuracy, payments, and regulatory reporting. 
  • Third party fuel card administration including general ledger posting, card setup and closures, and reconciliations. 
  • Directing preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports summarizing business activity operational expenses and variances. 
  • Assisting operations leadership with in-depth operational trend and capital project analysis, KPI tracking, and annual budget presentations. 
  • Leading and developing digital transformation projects targeting repetitive job functions. 
  • Assisting with the development of internal control procedures, standards, and compliance. 
  • Ensuring proper segregation of duties exists and company assets are safeguarded. 
  • Coordinating preparation of yearly budgets. 
  • Working with internal and external audit agencies on quarterly and annual income statements. 
  • Responsible for inventory controls and accuracy. 
BASIC SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • 7-10 years combined operational accounting experience. 
  • Knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP system, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Must be able to examine and verify financial documents and reports. 
  • Must be able to prepare a variety of financial statements, reports, and analyses. 
  • Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, methods, and equipment. 
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations governing fiscal recordkeeping. 
  • Understanding of payroll, general ledger, accounts payable, and cost accounting. 
  • Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and practices. 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. 
  • Strong leadership and team skills. 
  • Knowledge of principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation. 
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
