Description

We are seeking an Internal Communications Manager to serve as a strategic communications liaison between Tyler’s operating divisions and the corporate communications team. As the central “hub” of communications activity within the division, this role ensures a cohesive, aligned, and consistent approach to messaging across Tyler. The Internal Communications Manager partners with division leaders and other key stakeholders to develop, coordinate, and execute communication strategies that reinforce Tyler’s brand, values, and voice while supporting division-specific goals.

This role is central to building a unified communication experience across Tyler. As a visible and influential figure within the divisions, the Internal Communications Manager ensures consistency and clarity in communications that impact culture and employee engagement. The role balances strategic thinking with execution and must successfully navigate complex stakeholder relationships and multiple concurrent initiatives. 
 

Responsibilities 

  • Act as the primary communications liaison between Tyler’s divisions and Corporate Communications, facilitating two-way communication and messaging alignment.
  • Lead the development and implementation of division-specific communication strategies that support business objectives. 
  • Translate complex business strategies and initiatives into clear, compelling communications. 
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to division leaders and subject matter experts on communications best practices, employee engagement, and change management. 
  • Plan and execute companywide messaging cascades, internal campaigns, and major organizational announcements. 
  • Develop and manage a communications calendar for the division and ensure timely execution of messaging priorities. 
  • Produce high-quality content, including emails, intranet posts, leader talking points, presentations, video scripts, and other assets. 
  • Serve as a quality control resource for division communications to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with corporate standards. 
  • Monitor and evaluate communication effectiveness using defined metrics and KPIs; provide insights and recommendations for improvement. 
  • Support the intranet and employee engagement platforms by contributing relevant division content and collaborating on enhancements. 
  • Coordinate with HR, IT, Marketing, Legal, and other corporate functions to support enterprise-wide initiatives through the division lens.
 

Qualifications 

  • 7+ years of corporate communications experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field of study
  • Proven experience as a communications strategist or business partner working across functional teams or business units
  • Strong writing, editing, and messaging development skills with a demonstrated ability to distill complex concepts
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with change management communication practices and employee engagement strategies
  • Confident presence when advising senior leaders; able to support them in message delivery
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with intranet platforms and employee engagement tools
  • Understanding of AP style and brand/style guideline enforcement
  • A proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Required to undergo and satisfactorily pass a fingerprint background check in accordance with CJIS requirements.
