Description

We are seeking a dedicated Product Owner / Associate Product Manager to support the continued growth and success of Tyler Technologies’ Fire & EMS solutions. This role will focus on Emergency Networking, a recent acquisition expanding Tyler’s Fire & EMS solutions. The successful candidate will translate customer needs into product requirements, manage backlogs, and support the development of new features designed to enhance operational coordination and efficiency across public safety departments.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog for the Emergency Networking platform.
  • Define clear, actionable user stories that align with Tyler's Fire & EMS roadmap.
  • Identify AI-related use cases to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, UX, and QA teams through sprint cycles to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Engage directly with fire and EMS departments to gather feedback and validate product enhancements.
  • Translate operational challenges and pain points from the field into well-defined product features.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across product development efforts.
  • Monitor usage data, feedback, and adoption metrics to inform ongoing improvements.
  • Support the creation of documentation, release notes, and internal communications for product updates.
  • Ensure the product adheres to Tyler's quality and performance standards.
Qualifications: 
  • Experience as a fire department officer or EMS officer is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in product ownership, project management, or related roles in software or technology.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with product management tools such as Jira and Confluence preferred.
  • Ability to work remotely and travel occasionally as needed.
