Technical Account Manager
Description
II. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Visit client sites regularly to build relationships and an understanding of the individual site needs
- Be the subject matter expert to make decisions on-site with the customer
- Obtain and communicate product feedback to appropriate channels and guide product improvement
- Minimize the impact of product failure for the customer by expediting replacement or repairs on-site
- Support occasional matters as directed.
IV. Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of fiber optics, including:
- Fiber cabling, splicing, and connectorization.
- Network infrastructure for telecom, datacenters, or broadband applications.
- Demonstrated experience in technical account management or similar customer-facing roles.
- Proven ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable recommendations.
- Bachelor of Science, Business Administration, or related experience can be substituted
- 2+ years in related technical field (communications, e.g., OSP, data center, enterprise)

VII. Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the physical and motor skills typical of an office environment, including, but not limited to: prolonged sitting, working on a computer, using telephones, handheld technology and other office equipment, standing, walking and stooping.
- May be occasionally required to lift objects such as files, boxes of paper, office supplies, and computer / office equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to routinely concentrate, focus and read for general understanding and analytical purposes and ability to communicate effectively.
