Material Handling Associate (Temp)
SRCTec currently seeks a temporary material handling associate. The selected applicant will accurately and efficiently receive, count, stock and pull parts orders.
Responsibilities
- Utilize material handling equipment, including but not limited to a fork truck, lift truck, pallet jack, baler and shrink wrap machine
- Must communicate well with internal and external customers
- Unloading and loading product from vehicles and checking for accuracy in accordance with agreed processes and procedure
- Carry out all tasks in a safe way adhering to Health and Safety procedures
- Carry out any other duties within the warehouse as required
- Ensuring stock is handled and looked after correctly to a good standard of housekeeping
- Cleaning of common areas
- Stacking of products in warehouse/stockroom
- Performing cycle counts
- Maintain inventory accuracy at a consistent level Achieve daily targets and weekly deadlines under supervision
- Use your initiative and to seek continuous improvement
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of experience OR training from a technical trade school or military trade school with 0+ years related experience.
- Experience in a stockroom or production environment
- Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Must have a clean New York State Driver’s License
- Available for overtime when required
- Friendly, flexible and positive attitude are essential in this position
- The ability to move product which may require bending, stretching, stooping, steeping, reaching or lifting in line with Health and Safety regulations
- The ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
- The ability to count accurately and perform simple Math calculations
- Ability to work both as an individual and as part of a team
