Role Summary

Are you passionate about turning business and technical information using a data driven approach to help drive the Go To Market ("GTM") business? You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating daily cross-functionally with various functional departments including Deal Management, Deal Operations, Technical and Business Operations, Sales, Finance, and Legal. You will develop and run critical initiatives that enable the Deal Strategy & Execution ("DSE") teams to optimally support Sales to efficiently execute on our current and new selling motions.

Meet the DSE Programs & Proposals Team

The team lives within the DSE which is under Splunk's GTM Operations organization. The team consists of the Programs team that supports by creating and communicating Splunk-wide programs, processes, and enablement, and the Proposals team which handles responses to customer's requests for proposals.

What you'll get to do

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to run GTM strategic projects & programs adding the value of the subject matter expertise (SME) on DSE operations.
  • Drive adoption of Cisco Buying programs at Splunk by influencing key decision makers on implementing the right system capabilities, processes, and policies for our business unit.
  • Define and improve policies, processes, and system capabilities to streamline operations to drive an effective and efficient deal management and quote-to-order process.
  • Develop and communicate comprehensive enablement knowledge assets timely, including policies, playbooks and training materials for the DSE and other team as needed.
  • Build executive reports and presentations to communicate key updates on projects & programs, drive alignment, and gain feedback from DSE Leadership.
  • Provide transactional guidance to DSE team members and leadership in resolving new types of deals that fall outside standard policies and deal structuring.

Must-have Qualifications

  • Proven senior experience in program/project management, GTM operations, or similar roles. Deeply understanding of Deal Management, Quote-to-order (Q2O), and/or Quote-to-Provisioning (Q2P) processes
  • Proficient knowledge in MS Excel, G-sheets, SFDC, and other tools to analyze data and provide insights to DSE, cross-functional teams, as well as company leadership.
  • Proven accountability, adaptability, flexibility, proactivity, and problem-solving skills to appropriately prioritize and deliver high-quality results on target in a fast-paced environment with constant change

  • Cisco Commerce tools (CCW, EAMP, EAWS, etc.)
  • Master’s degree in Business or equivalent

Note:

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $132,000.00 - 181,500.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $118,800.00 - 163,350.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $105,600.00 - 145,200.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
