Role Summary
What you'll get to do
- Create and own detailed and easy-to-digest program documentation, handle dependencies, and track status across multiple teams and workstreams
- Proactively identify and communicate risks, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive problems to resolution
- Ensure accountability of program deliverables against team-defined timelines; act as the objective party when surfacing missed risks
- Understand system interdependencies and lead cross-functional teams to align and deliver on technical solutions
Must-have Qualifications
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related technical field or an MBA with an established technical foundation. Applicants should also possess a strong record of academic achievement
- At least one semester/quarter remaining to complete after the internship
- Available to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks
Nice-to-have Qualifications
- Previous internship as a Technical Program Manager or in a related field
- Communication and risk management are your forte. You can communicate effectively with stakeholders of all levels and develop plans to act upon risks appropriately
- Great decision making, consensus building, and problem solving; you don’t shy away from challenges
- Proactive and driven - you should be ready to lead an initiative with confidence (and modesty) and while we’ll be there to support you, we expect you are ready to make progress
Strong technical proficiency required to understand development tasks and identify and resolve issues as they arise - Understanding of key development tools and technologies such as Python, Gitlab, AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- (A big plus) Experience with program management tools in the Atlassian stack (Jira and Confluence) or similar
Note:
Base Pay is based on a candidate completing 3 years of university or the academic equivalent
Base Pay
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay: $45 per hour
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay: $41 per hour
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay: $36 per hour
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills, year in school and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for benefits.
