Campaigns and Field Marketing Manager, Splunk Public Sector Marketing

Role Summary
What you'll get to do
- Leading and implementing the campaign marketing strategy for Splunk’s public sector market
- Crafting new programs from scratch and adapting corporate marketing programs for the public sector market and supporting execution of programs and activities in the SLED market
- Articulating how Splunk solutions help solve specific customer challenges in the public sector market
- Measuring and reporting results
- Using and improving Splunk’s brand presence in the market
- Collaborating and partnering with multiple sales and marketing colleagues
- Collaborating with partner marketing and integrating partner marketing elements into the campaign marketing strategy
Must-have Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in marketing or equivalent field required.
- Travel: Some travel to regional marketing events, Splunk events, and internal meetings is required. Approximately three to four times per year.
- 7+ years with demonstrated success creating and implementing marketing growth strategies within the technology industry. Understanding of and experience working within the public sector marketing strongly desired.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience delivering presentations to executive staff.
- Experience working within the software as a service (SaaS) technology industry.
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in marketing or related field
Nice-to-have Qualifications
- Location: The preferred location for this position is the greater Washington, D.C. metro area. The regional public sector headquarters is based in McLean, Virginia. Qualified candidates outside the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area may be considered.
- Experience: Working within a matrix-marketing organization where your success and outcomes depend upon working with cross-functional groups that you do not manage.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of public sector customer challenges, technology buying processes and various types of public sector technology influencers and buyers.

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
