About the Team
At Nutanix, you would be part of the Lifecycle Manager team, a group of talented individuals working collaboratively to drive innovation. The team is a great group to work with, and there are plenty of opportunities for growth and development within the company.
You will report to Pooja who is the Senior Engineering Manager, dedicated to fostering growth and providing mentorship to help you succeed. She is a friendly leader who fosters a fun work culture. You can expect to feel comfortable approaching her with any questions or concerns.
At Nutanix, we operate on a hybrid work model, where you'll be expected to be in the office three days a week. This allows for collaboration and team bonding, while also providing some flexibility for remote work.
 
Your Role
  • Design and develop lifecycle management framework for the Nutanix distributed cluster
  • Ability to make the code extendable for a massively distributed infrastructure with several nodes with millions of entities.
  • Ability to design software with clean interfaces and APIs with other components
  • Understand intrinsic details about key distributed design principles like CAP theorem, PACELC etc. and ability to apply in virtualized environments.
  • Interact with other teams across the system software stack to clearly communicate and express your technical views and design
  • Work in a fast-moving agile environment
  • Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills

 What You Will Bring
  • Excellent design and coding skills in Python, Golang
  • Experience in designing and developing infrastructure software 
  • Ability to design software with clean interfaces and APIs
  • Familiarity with key distributed design principles
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in related fields.
 
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 124,800 and USD $ 249,600 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
