Staff Consultant
- Billable Project work 80% of time.
- Conduct customer-focused workshops and explain product benefits
- You will take ownership of business outcomes of virtualization projects through requirements capture and technical governance.
- You will craft detailed design documents and perform hands-on implementation work
- You will work with our project managers on the project budget and all aspects of efficient delivery
- Provide pre-sales support as a Subject-Matter Expert
- Interactively whiteboard solutions with customers and create comprehensive documentation
- Lead client escalations and work with engineering on product improvement.
- You can display commercial awareness by identifying future services opportunity within a project or customer
- You actively drive practice activities such as the development of standard methodologies, intellectual property capture and creation, quality assurance, and peer reviews
- You maintain current knowledge of the entire Nutanix product stack.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience as consultant in the storage, virtualization, VDI, or cloud space.
- Experience to architect complex data center solutions with multi-site cloud architectures from the ground up
- Deep understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V)
- Deep understanding of storage fabrics and technologies like SAN, NAS, file, block and object storage services, DFS.
- Good understanding of data protection technologies like replication, snapshot, backup, restore, etc.
- Ability to independently analyze and diagnose highly complex networking problems across different platforms. Understanding of datacenter network fabric topologies and common architecture (both L2/L3 based), firewall, Ethernet, Radius, etc.
- Ability to be technically hands-on in servicing the requirements of a client.
- Robust customer relationship attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction
- A Nutanix NCP/NCS or VMware VCAP would be highly regarded.
- High level of comfort performing whiteboarding sessions and PowerPoint presentations, create best practice white papers.
- Prior Nutanix Design and deployment experience
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Kubernetes is highly valued.
- High comfort level using one or more automation tools or orchestration frameworks such as VMware vCO, Microsoft Systems Center Orchestrator, PowerShell, Python, Bash, Puppet, Chef, OpenStack.
- Deep understanding of software-defined storage with a particular focus on distributed storage.
- Experience with Microsoft Virtualization Technologies and Azure pack.
- AWS certified solutions professional.
- Desktop Virtualization technologies such as Citrix Xen Desktop and VMware Horizon View.
- Migration of workload, both P2V and V2V.
- Experience in network virtualization with a focus on NSX or ACI
- Experience in virtualizing enterprise applications (SQL, Exchange, Oracle).
- Industry certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, VCAP, VCIX, CCNA, CCIA and RHCE.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
