The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented, experienced Staff Consultant at Mexico City to join our growing Professional Services team. 
In this role, you will design, implement, migrate, and optimize End User Computing (EUC) solutions, with a strong focus on Omnissa Horizon and modern digital workspace technologies.
As a subject matter expert, you will lead architecture workshops, support pre-sales activities, and help customers modernize their EUC strategies by aligning technology solutions with business outcomes. 
You will serve as a trusted advisor, helping enterprise customers define scalable, secure, and high-performing reference architectures, migration roadmaps, and operational best practices.
Additionally, you will collaborate with fellow consultants to develop service offerings, methodologies, and toolkits that enhance the value delivered by Nutanix Professional Services.

Your Role

  • Customer Engagement: Actively engage in billable project work, dedicating at least 70% of your time to customer-facing engagements.
  • Architecture & Design: Lead customer discovery sessions and architecture workshops to design scalable, highly available, and secure virtual desktop infrastructures that integrate virtualization, storage, networking, identity, and security.
  • Omnissa Horizon Excellence: Design, implement, and optimize Omnissa Horizon solutions, leading migrations from legacy VDI platforms and physical environments to modern EUC architectures.
  • Platform Integration: Deploy tailored EUC solutions on Nutanix HCI (AOS/AHV) and hybrid cloud platforms. Protocol Tuning: Optimize Omnissa Blast Extreme protocols to deliver exceptional user experiences across LAN, WAN, and hybrid work environments, including handling latency over home Wi-Fi.
  • Modern Authentication: Design and implement modern authentication and federation solutions using SAML, OpenID Connect (OIDC), True SSO, and seamless integration with enterprise identity providers (Microsoft Entra ID, Okta).
  • Advanced Workloads: Design and deploy GPU-enabled virtual desktop solutions on Nutanix platforms using NVIDIA vGPU technologies for graphics-intensive workloads.
  • Automation & DevOps: Develop automation frameworks and operational tooling using PowerShell, Horizon PowerCLI, REST APIs, or Python to streamline pool provisioning,  deployment, and lifecycle operations.
  • Assessments & Lifecycle: Conduct health checks, assessments, optimization engagements, troubleshooting, and modernization workshops for existing EUC environments.
  • Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with sales and solution engineering teams to provide pre-sales technical expertise, scoping, statements of work (SOW), and delivery estimates.
  • Practice Development & Mentorship: Partner with Practice Development teams to author best practices and operational runbooks. Mentor junior consultants and serve as a regional technical authority for the EUC practice.

 

What You Will Bring

  • Overall Experience: 8+ years in IT infrastructure, including 6+ years designing, implementing, and architecting End User Computing (EUC) solutions.
  • Omnissa Expertise: 4+ years of hands-on experience with Omnissa Horizon (formerly VMware Horizon). Deep understanding of Connection Servers, Unified Access Gateway (UAG), App Volumes, and Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM).
  • Scale: Proven experience leading enterprise-scale Horizon deployments supporting 1,000+ users.
  • Virtualization & Ecosystems: Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, specifically Nutanix AHV and VMware vSphere. Experience with Omnissa Horizon on Nutanix HCI.
  • Identity & Security: Deep understanding of modern authentication (SAML, OIDC, True SSO, certificate-based authentication, MFA) and of architecting secure remote access using Zero Trust principles and conditional access policies.
  • Display Protocols: Hands-on experience optimizing Blast Extreme configurations for diverse user personas and challenging network conditions.
  • Hardware Acceleration: Experience designing and deploying NVIDIA vGPU-enabled virtual desktop environments.
  • Core Networking: Solid understanding of load balancing, DNS, certificates, and secure remote access.
     
  • Consultative Leadership: Proven experience leading customer-facing workshops, whiteboarding solutions, and communicating complex technical concepts to technical and executive audiences.
  • Execution: Detail-oriented, able to work independently, create architectural designs, produce documentation, and deliver technical training.
  • Language: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
     
  • Omnissa Horizon certifications (or legacy VMware VCP-DTM/VCIX-DTM).
  • Experience with the broader Omnissa ecosystem (Workspace ONE) and cloud-based desktop solutions (e.g., Frame, Azure Virtual Desktop, Amazon WorkSpaces).
  • Advanced scripting and automation experience with PowerShell (Horizon PowerCLI), Python, or REST APIs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

 

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
