About the Team
The role of International Country Accountant will be part of the Finance team at Nutanix, located in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands. This team operates within an international environment and is characterized by a positive and collaborative culture that encourages open communication and structured organization. The primary mission of the Finance team is to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance across multiple entities as the company expands its global operations.
You will report to the Senior International Accounting Manager, who fosters a non-hierarchical leadership style that emphasizes collaboration and teamwork. The work setup for this role will be hybrid.
No travel is required for this position, allowing you to focus on accounting tasks and responsibilities within the office environment and remotely as specified.
Your Role
- Conduct month-end and quarter-end closings, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with auditors and various departments for compliance and statutory accounting purposes.
- Engage in continuous learning about assigned entities and their specific monthly activities.
- Utilize ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, for accounting tasks and reporting.
- Communicate effectively within an international environment, utilizing strong English skills.
- Develop relationships within the team and adapt to a collaborative, non-hierarchical work culture.
What You Will Bring
- Minimum 3 to 6 years of experience in GL accounting.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and local statutory accounting.
- Proficient communication skills in English, particularly in an international context.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP).
- Proactive and structured work approach.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and work under pressure.
- Understanding of cultural differences in communication and collaboration.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (such as Hoofddorp), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
