RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the Analyst Trainee in the Procurement Agenda Unit include assisting with the following functions: writing and copy editing; preparing brief synopses of procurements for submission to the MTA Board of Directors; review write-ups prepared by procurement staff and analyzing them for internal consistency and coherence of storyline. The Analyst Trainee will also assist with highlighting and questioning discrepancies, and work with procurement staff to clarify the sequence of events and facts presented in write-ups to prepare a brief, cogent, single-page synopsis of the procurement in question. Additional duties include assisting with performing ad hoc research, drafting scripts or talking points, preparing presentations, reports and completing other projects as required. Some administrative tasks will also be required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Staff Analyst Trainee II
A Baccalaureate degree in a related field and one (1) year of full-time experience as a Staff Analyst Trainee I.
Staff Analyst Trainee I
A Baccalaureate degree in a related field from an accredited college.
All candidates must possess a baccalaureate degree to apply to this position.
