Position Title: Junior+ Application Support Technician
Location: Hybrid - Cartagena
What you will be doing:
The Junior+ Application Support Technician will collaborate with development and infrastructure teams. The technician addresses complex technical issues and contributes to application enhancements. The role also involves maintaining documentation, implementing application deployments and upgrades, and utilizing SQL and KQL for data analysis and troubleshooting. Working with cutting-edge technologies such as C#, .NET, and Python, this position supports application optimization while seamlessly integrating applications through REST APIs. The Application Support Technician contributes significantly to the IT team, helping drive the overall success of technical support within the organization. Your responsibilities include:
- Provide second-line support for enterprise applications, efficiently resolving incidents and service requests to enhance user satisfaction.
- Monitor and analyze application performance and availability using SQL and KQL on the Azure platform, escalating issues as necessary to ensure reliability.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, leveraging your working knowledge of C#, .NET, and Python.
- Maintain and update comprehensive application documentation, including detailed support procedures and knowledge base articles, to support operational efficiency.
- Assist with application deployments, upgrades, and patching, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to services.
- Utilize REST APIs to facilitate application integration and automate workflows, improving process efficiency.
- Apply foundational data structure knowledge to optimize application performance, supporting development and operational efforts.
Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in application support or IT operations
- Strong understanding and practical experience with REST API architecture using tools like Postman
- Proficiency in SQL and KQL for querying databases mainly on the Azure platform, and analyzing telemetry data
- Solid foundation in data structure fundamentals with the ability to apply them in real-world scenarios
- Working knowledge of C#, .NET, and Python to support internal OTR applications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
Nice to have
- Exposure to scripting languages for basic automation tasks
- Familiarity with ITSM tools such as Managed Engine or Confluence
- Understanding of additional cloud services beyond Azure and AWS
- Experience with basic data analysis using Python
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards
- Adaptability in learning new technologies and methodologies quickly
