Currently, we are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst with a strong English level to join our team. Here are the challenges that our next warrior will face and the requirements we look for:

Position Title: Senior Technical Business Analyst
Location: Remote LATAM

What you will be doing:
This role serves as a Technical Business Analyst supporting client integration projects from initial discovery through implementation and go live. The position combines business analysis, technical requirements gathering, data mapping, functional testing, and cross functional coordination. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with clients, developers, and operations teams to gather requirements, identify gaps, create detailed mapping documentation, and help move integration projects forward.
This is not a hands-on development role. Instead, the successful candidate should be technically strong enough to understand integration concepts, read technical documents and sample files, work with XML, JSON, EDI, and APIs, perform basic database queries, and support functional validation and issue identification throughout the project lifecycle. Depending on project size and complexity, this person may support or help drive project execution in close coordination with internal stakeholders, and in some cases an Implementation Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead discovery and requirements gathering discussions with clients and internal stakeholders to understand integration needs and project scope.
  • Document business and technical requirements clearly to support successful development and implementation.
  • Perform technical gap analysis against existing system capabilities and business needs.
  • Create detailed field by field paper mappings and data mapping documentation for EDI, XML, JSON, and text based file structures.
  • Interpret technical documentation, sample files, and integration related artifacts to support project analysis and solution planning.
  • Work closely with development teams to translate requirements into actionable stories and maintain alignment throughout the build process.
  • Utilize Jira to document, track, and maintain project visibility, ensuring it remains an accurate source of truth for delivery progress and escalations.
  • Conduct functional testing and support User Acceptance Testing activities prior to production release.
  • Perform basic database queries and data validation tasks to support troubleshooting, requirement validation, and issue identification.
  • Coordinate with operations and internal business teams to support implementation readiness and transition to go live.
  • Facilitate internal and external meetings, provide project updates, and proactively surface risks, blockers, or scope misalignments.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying lessons learned and recommending process or documentation enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of Business Analysis experience, with a proven track record of coordinating cross-functional development teams and delivering integration projects on time.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related analytical field, OR 5+ years of equivalent logistics industry experience.
  • Extensive understanding of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and practical working knowledge of XML and JSON data formats.
  • Experience supporting API integration projects (RESTful and SOAP APIs), including the ability to analyze API documentation, technical artifacts, and authentication protocols.
  • Advanced proficiency in Jira for managing complex epics and dependencies, ensuring it remains the single source of truth for agile execution, leadership reviews, and business intelligence dashboards.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform technical gap analysis and translate business requirements into detailed, field-by-field data mappings for development teams.
  • Strong project management capabilities within Agile/Scrum frameworks, adept at managing multiple concurrent projects, creating actionable stories, and maintaining team velocity.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to proactively manage client expectations, navigate competing priorities, and present effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and sound judgment, demonstrating the ability to resolve issues independently and properly escalate roadblocks to management.
  • Familiarity with MS SQL Server (T-SQL) to support data-related analysis tasks.
  • Specialized knowledge of logistics operations, including freight forwarding, warehousing, and customs brokerage, or integration experience within retail, government, high-tech, or energy verticals.
  • Proven experience managing client expectations within dedicated consulting or implementation environments.

Nice to Have Skills
  • Professional certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CSM) or Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP).
  • Experience working with enterprise integration platforms, specifically Boomi, Sterling Integrator, or Informatica.

Soft Skills
  • Stakeholder Management and Communication: Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring transparency, managing expectations, and preventing communication gaps across clients, developers, and internal teams.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership and Orchestration: Demonstrates the ability to lead and coordinate diverse teams—including clients, operations staff, and developers—maintaining project momentum and driving complex integration implementations from discovery through go-live.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking: Applies strong analytical capabilities to proactively identify project risks, address scope misalignments early, and develop effective solutions independently.
  • Judgment and Strategic Escalation: Exercises sound senior-level judgment in determining when to resolve issues autonomously versus when to escalate roadblocks to management, utilizing established processes to ensure continuous project velocity.
  • Agile Execution and Process Discipline: Works effectively within agile frameworks, taking full ownership of project outcomes while maintaining strict documentation standards to provide a reliable single source of truth for leadership and cross-functional alignment.
